This website is operated by Lake District Accommodation, an independent, community-led platform for promoting local accommodation providers across Cumbria and the Lake District.

The website is managed by the group’s founder, Rick Squires, based in Cumbria, United Kingdom.

What information we collect

When you visit this site or complete a form, we may collect:

Your name and email address (for contact or Partner registration)
Your accommodation name and link (if you’re applying to become an LDA Partner)
Payment details (handled securely by GoCardless — we never see or store your bank account information)
Analytics data such as page views and traffic patterns (to help us improve the website)

How we use your information

We use your information only to:

Respond to messages and enquiries
Process Partner subscriptions and renewals
Send confirmation or update emails
Provide relevant updates about your Partner account or the group

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties, except where required to process payments securely (for example, through GoCardless).

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

Request access to any personal data we hold about you
Ask for corrections or deletion of your data
Withdraw consent at any time

Payments and refunds

Payments are managed via GoCardless and protected under the Direct Debit Guarantee.

Annual plans are generally non-refundable once activated, although we may offer partial refunds in exceptional cases at our discretion.
